my thoughts on fun’s new album “Some nights”
the band definitely experimented a lot with this album… a couple of songs remind me of aim and ignite but you can definitely tell that fun. took a different direction with this album from their previous one.
I need to listen to the album a couple more times to gain a better perspective of their music, but all im going to say is this:
nate ruess and his voice should not ever be touched by autotune. i was really surprised when i heard usage of autotune in the songs. his voice is pure and raw and unique in its own way, and i think the autotune that they experimented with in some songs didn’t quite work out for my ears.
